From 5 to 30 December 2025, Sorrento celebrates Christmas with “Surriento Gentile“, the great cultural event conceived and directed by Marisa Laurito, designed to tell the story of the city through the values that have always characterized it: kindness, hospitality, beauty and culture. Surriento Gentile: Christmas in Sorrento dedicated to kindness
The title of the event, which recalls the famous Serenata a Surriento, transforms the city into a truly widespread stage thanks to the collaboration between the Sorrento Foundation, Federalberghi Penisola Sorrentina, Confcommercio, Association of Travel Agents and Association of Sorrento Restaurateurs.
For almost a month, the streets, churches, historic buildings and theaters will host concerts, exhibitions, shows, traveling performances, cultural meetings, workshops and animated screenings for children.
Christmas concerts in Sorrento: great Italian and international artists
Surriento Gentile will bring numerous important artists from the national and international scene to Sorrento for the first time, who will perform between open-air shows and concerts at the Tasso Theatre.

Inauguration of the Christmas festival "Surriento Gentile"
The event opens on 5 December with the meeting The Revolution of Kindness in the “Carlo Di Leva” Room, a dialogue between anthropologists, psychologists and priests on the universal value of kindness.
At 6pm a traveling theatrical performance comes to life: ten young actors will distribute poetic verses on parchment and oranges from the coast along Corso Italia.
Maestro Masiello’s 30 valets will also parade in the historic center and, once they reach Piazza Tasso, they will divide into small ensembles to perform in various parts of the city.
Art and photography exhibitions
“Dance Notes” by Alessandro Vasapolli opens on December 6th, a photographic exhibition that explores new visual languages, between reality and imagination.
The painting exhibition “Beyond the gesture” by Morris Spagnol will open on 19 December, dedicated to the dialogue between form, color and movement; both hosted in the “Carlo Di Leva” Room.
Concerts at the Tasso Theater
The room in Piazza Sant’Antonino, of the Tasso Theatre, confirms itself as the musical heart of the event, as well as one of the main protagonists of Christmas in Sorrento 2025.

Gospel concert at the Cathedral
On December 21st, at 7.30pm, the Sorrento Cathedral hosts one of the most anticipated events: the Gospel concert by The Voices of Victory, an international group that has performed on stages such as the Super Bowl and collaborated with artists of the caliber of Cece Winans and the Bee Gees.
Mostre e Presepi viventi nei portoni
From 28 to 30 December, the historic center will host the Araprit’ ‘e purtune… ncè stà ‘o Presepio initiative, with living scenes inspired by the 18th century Neapolitan nativity scene.
At the same time, Villa Fiorentino will host the great exhibition Giuseppe Ercolano and the Masters of the Nativity Scene – 25 years of art and tradition, open from 1 December to 18 January: a journey that tells the story, art and symbolism of the nativity scene in a scenographic setup divided over three floors.
Live music and outdoor shows
The Christmas program includes numerous events and live outdoor shows:
- Musical parades in the historic center
- Performance by Marco Zurzolo and the Street Jazz Band (14 elements) along Corso Italia
- Readings and Christmas stories with local actresses and singers
- Pastoral performances with pipers in the Church of the S.S. Rosary
Surriento Gentile: Raiz's final concert in Piazza Tasso
On December 30th, at 9pm, Raiz closes the event with a large outdoor concert, fusing reggae, Neapolitan tradition and a special tribute to Sergio Bruni.
