The Living Nativity Scene of Fornacelle returns for the 10th Edition, part of the exhibition L’incanto del Natale, where the community comes together to offer an exciting and spiritual representation of Christmas. The event offers a historical re-enactment of Bethlehem from over 2000 years ago, with characters in period costumes, ancient crafts and faithful settings. Thanks to the commitment of volunteers of all ages, the living nativity scene becomes an opportunity to share and celebrate the true Christmas spirit.
The Fornacelle living nativity scene will be held at Torricella on 26 and 27 December and then from 1 to 6 January 2026. The event which will involve the entire hamlet of Vico Equense will be an accurate historical re-enactment of Bethlehem from over 2000 years ago.
During the living nativity scene event, a series of special and interactive moments were organized to make the visit an even more fascinating and immersive experience. The aim of the organizers is to involve visitors in a unique way, enriching the atmosphere and making the magic of the nativity scene even more alive.
During every evening, at the exit of the nativity scene, a tasting of typical Neapolitan zeppole will be offered.
The inauguration of the living nativity scene is scheduled for December 26, an event in which both the Bishop and the Mayor will participate. The inauguration will begin at 6:00 pm
On January 6th there will be the arrival of the Magi Kings, on horseback, to the hut of baby Jesus. With the arrival of the Three Kings, the living nativity scene will officially end.
The Living Nativity Scene is located in the charming village of Fornacelle, in the Torricella area.
The inhabitants of this neighborhood will be happy to welcome you, opening the doors of their homes to share the magic of Christmas with you.
It is also possible to reach the entrance to the nativity scene on foot, with a walk of approximately 8 minutes starting from via Raffaele Bosco.
